Week of 10/26 - 10/30

This week will be a very busy week. Besides being Halloween, we will also be learning about narratives. Each day will feature a different narrative story. On Friday, I will present our class Halloween book, that is written in narrative form. How exciting!

Friday will also be the day we visit the pumpkin patch. Please be sure and turn in a permission slip for your child, if you haven't already. It will also be the day for our Halloween celebration.

Due to everything going on Friday, we will have our spelling, vocabulary, and reading test Thursday. Please be sure and study with your child every night.

The spelling words are as follows:
face
made
age
safe
take
make
cage
cake
late
name

The vocabulary words are as follows:
could
be
old
paper
horse
stage
places

The story in the student reader will be "The Farmer and the Hat". Please read this story with your child on Wednesday night.

Have a happy Halloween!

Week of 10/5 - 10/7

Due to this being a short week, there will be no tests given. We will use this week to review and assess skills that have been taught thus far. We will still be working on subtraction this week.

*Don't forget about parent/teacher conferences Thursday. I am looking forward to meeting with everyone.
